He spent years moving other people’s businesses off platforms they could not leave without losing the site. Redstack Digital is what he built once he knew exactly what those businesses needed.

Christian John Molino designs and builds websites, and then stays responsible for them after launch. Most of his clients are local service businesses: cleaning companies, HVAC and appliance outfits, lawn crews, the kind of operation that lives on the next phone call. He is not confined to them. Custom Pins Now sells custom enamel pins and patches across the country, where the search surface is national, the buying cycle runs weeks instead of minutes, and the competition is a catalogue rather than the shop three towns over.

He ended up on the marketing side of the table, which turned out to be the most useful thing that ever happened to his design work. As CMO of an appliance and HVAC company he owns the number at the bottom of the page, not just the top of it. You stop arguing about hero styles and start watching which sections get read, which buttons get pressed, and how many people leave because a page took four seconds to decide what it wanted to be.

Before that he led the web team at Local Comets through a portfolio wide platform migration, moving roughly fifty client sites onto a headless stack with the design preserved and the engineering rebuilt underneath. Doing that fifty times teaches you what actually breaks a small business website, and it is almost never the design.

It is nearly always the same three things. The business does not actually own its website, so leaving the platform means leaving the site behind. The site is slow exactly where it costs money, on a phone, on mobile data, at the moment somebody needs help. And changing one sentence, a price, a phone number, a line of opening hours, means emailing a developer and waiting days for a change that should take seconds. That third one is what owners actually complain about. They are not angry about their font. They are angry that a typo sat on their homepage for a week because the person who could fix it was busy.

Redstack answers all three. The build is one price, design and code included, and the client owns the finished site, so it is theirs to take anywhere. Hosting, backups and uptime are handled as a service rather than held over them. And they edit their own live page by clicking the words on it, so that price change takes seconds rather than a support ticket. If they would rather not touch it at all, that is what the managed hosting plans are for: send the change over and it gets done. Priced so a cleaning company or a two truck HVAC outfit can say yes without holding a meeting about it, because the businesses that need a real website most are usually the ones agencies price out of the room.

He builds websites for local service businesses.

Cleaning companies, HVAC and appliance outfits, lawn crews, and the occasional national manufacturer. Whatever the trade, one question: is this the clearest, fastest version of what that business actually sells. He stays on the site after launch, which is the part most of them have been burned on before.
